Canker sores in New York, New York, are inconvenient and bothersome, but there are ways you can reduce the pain you feel and even promote healing. In order to do so, we recommend doing the following things:
-Avoid eating foods that can irritate your mouth, like spicy, acidic, and citrus foods.
-Gum chewing can easily irritate your sore, so it’s best to avoid chewing gum.
-Keep up on oral hygiene each day. Brush your teeth every morning and every night with a soft-bristled toothbrush and floss your smile at least once a day. Doing these things will help keep food particles and debris from bothering the sore.
-Talk to your dentist about antimicrobial mouth rinse, corticosteroid ointment, or over-the-counter solution. These products should help relieve your pain.
